Well, tis done. I know what all my readers were thinking (all two of them – hi mom! dad!), that I’ve abandoned this blog. Not true! I’ve been busy plugging away for the past month on an Angry Robot Books rewrite request. As of 5 this morning central time, I poured myself a glass of Macallan 17, and sent it on its way. On top of my full time job, I must have worked another 160 hours working on it. Lee from AR had requested three seemingly innocent points of focus on the rewrite. Those little changes blew up to roughly 250-300 pages of changes out of a 400 page book. And yes, my grammar still sucks. Thank God for a lawyer wife.
The Lives of Tao is now in the hands of the literary gods. I paid homage with a second glass. I think it was the first time I ever drank alone at 5 in the morning on a Tuesday morning. May God have mercy on my soul.
