I have been nominated for the Campbell!

First of all, a disclaimer: I apologize if I venture into Todd Manly-Krauss territory. I will do my best to avoid that… actually, never mind… if there’s a time to cross that line, it’s right now. HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS, I’ve been nominated for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New SFF Writer. Huzzah!

All right, exuberance aside, I’d like to thank everyone who participated in the nominating process. There were 767 nominating ballots this year just for the Campbell alone. There’s a bevy of great talent on the Hugo and Campbell ballots this year. I’m honored to be considered among them.

Here are the nominees for the Campbell this year.

Max Gladstone

Ramez Naam

Sophia Samatar

Benjanun Sriduangkaew

Wesley Chu

I’m up against some tough competition this year. I know and consider all of the names here good friends and wonderful for voices (haven’t met Bee yet but I’m looking forward to it) in the SFF community, and look forward to hanging out with them at Loncon.

Thank you everyone again for your support. You guys rock.

I would rock this tiara. Just saying...

Just throwing this out there. I would rock the Campbell tiara. Just saying…
